Speech Dementia Can You Help Me Word This Into A Short Speech, Please?

Can you help me word this into a short speech, please? - speech dementia

I will give a speech at my prospective recruits, which led me to an organization of first aid candidate, St. John Ambulance. Several years ago my grandfather was very ill. It was always wheezing, and remember, had dementia. One night I was wheezing terribly, as if he breathlessly. My parents rushed to call an ambulance. It was the St. John Ambulance rushed to the hospital and thereby prolong its life. He lived till 98 years and died of old age. After this incident, I felt like in the guilt of St. John Ambulance. And I am grateful to spend because of the ambulance, my grandfather came to spend time with us. This led me to join the organization. How can I tell the story without sounding boring or false? I'm not sure how to articulate why I joined this organization. Can you help me please?

I want to say why the organization decided to join St. John Ambulance. There are (choose a number ___years) my grandfather was suffering from dementia, he was very ill. A very bad night began wheezing and I could not understand his breath. My parents called an ambulance and St John Ambulance has my grandfather responded and transported to the hospital. He responded to treatment and his life was saved on that occasion. Thanks for the quick response by St. John Ambulance, grandfather lived to 98 years. I am forever grateful to St. John Ambulance give us more time with our grandfather. This led me to this merged organization.
